St. Louis ranked by Forbes as one of “America’s 10 Most Miserable Cities”
Wow! Forbes magazine has slammed St. Louis with the “honor” of being the 10th most miserable city in the country. (Nice picture at left, eh?)
I actually like living and working here! Forbes ranked the metro areas on nine factors: commute times, corruption, pro sports teams, Superfund sites, taxes (both income and sales), unemployment, violent crime and weather.
I’ve lived here my entire life and find this place to be great. Yes, unemployment in St. Louis right now is high. Commute times have been killed by the new I-64 project. Our teams — well, we all know what’s happening there. Weather — it’s rough in the summer.
But all in all, this is a great place to live and raise a family. We have beautiful neighborhoods, free cultural sites, huge green parks, the best children’s museum in the country, and, of course, Ted Drewes. St. Louis is a great place to live!

An interesting article about O’Fallon, MO.
